The FIA has noted the continuing failure of Orange Arrows to participate in recent Formula 1 Events.
If this failure were due to insolvency, Arrows would lose its rights under the Concorde Agreement. However, at present the FIA has no hard evidence that Arrows' absence is due to insolvency rather than to some other cause.
In the circumstances, the FIA intends to wait until various negotiations and proceedings relating to Arrows have been concluded before considering any formal action.

| Alesi : test for Mclaren confirmed |
|
| |
Mclaren Mercedes confirmed that sometime next month Jean Alesi will be testing the Mclaren Mercedes MP4/16. The reason for this session
being the experienced Alesi could give some feedback on Michelin and other components of the Mclaren Mercedes. Jean said "Obviously, I'm looking forward to sitting behind the wheel of an F1 car again and I'm sure that driving a West McLaren Mercedes is going to be an experience.I have no plans to return to F1 competition and am 100 percent committed to my DTM championship challenge with Mercedes- Benz. However a drive in a McLaren was missing from my CV and I'm really looking forward to the challenge".
Martin Whitmarsh , Mclaren managing director said "Jean has extensive F1 experience and we are, therefore, pleased to have this opportunity to benefit from his knowledge.Following the test, Jean will concentrate on his DTM program and we currently have no further plans to test together."
Norbert Haug was also very positive about the test session "Jean Alesi is one of the most popular and experienced drivers in motor racing. When we discussed his Mercedes- Benz DTM involvement we also talked about a chance for Jean to test the West McLaren Mercedes Formula One car.Having spoken with our Partners at McLaren we are glad that the test has now been confirmed. We are convinced that Jean, with his experience of more than 200 Grand's Prix, will give the team some valuable information. After the test Jean will be focusing on the forthcoming DTM season to fight for the Championship in one of the new Mercedes-Benz CLK.”
